Carla Howe, Ph.D., serves as a subject matter expert for the Region 5 Comprehensive Center (R5CC). In this role, she provides technical assistance and project support across initiatives. She helps to build the capacity of state and local staff to understand and use information for decisionmaking. Previously, Carla served as the director of Data Governance and Accountability and Statewide Longitudinal Data Systems (SLDS) project director at the West Virginia Department of Education and as a middle school teacher.
