We developed this online resource from our blog series on Strategic Budgeting. It covers the five elements of strategic budgeting: 1) identifying the vision and goals, 2) assessing resources, 3) using data, 4) communicating with the district, and 5) continuous improvement. The modules use a learning platform called Articulate Rise, which combines text, multiple-choice questions, interactive lessons, and other modes of providing information. We designed the new resource for local education officials involved in creating, maintaining, or publicizing their education budgets. You can work through the modules at your own pace to learn more about strategic budgeting and how it might help you and your colleagues more effectively think about and discuss your budget.
